Online Ordination

I was ordained by the ULC Church on the 21st March 2002 and I live in Brighton UK. Since then I have officiated at many services that include Baptisms, Weddings, Funerals, Communions and Blessings. I am also the Chaplain to the Pioneer Motor Cycle club which is the oldest Motor cycle club in the UK.

I do many visits to Hospitals and Nursing Homes in Sussex and Surrey to bring comfort to the old, lonely and sick to bring to them the power of the Holy Spirit.

I have my own web site for those who cannot attend Church, www.church-services.com so that they can listen to prayers for those with poor sight or for the hard of hearing they can read the text.

The reason I was ordained was that I had the call of the Holy Spirit within me telling me to go forth and to spread the word of our Lord Jesus Christ, tell people of his Love for all in a time of religious and world turmoil.

I was previously a Police officer in Surrey UK until my retirement and saw a lot of people in need of our Lords love.

This is just an outline of what I do in the good name of the ULC Church and if you require any more information please feel free to contact me either by email or through my web site.

Yours in Christ
Rev. David Scott

Online Ordination

ULC Seminary
Hello Friends:

I am the Rev. Patricia Johnston and wish to share why I chose Ordination. It began so long ago, as a child. I knew I was always going to walk this path of selfless service to others because of a deep and great desire to be of part to God's Will. My love for God was immeasurable and still is. It is a feeling, a knowing and a sensing of His Presence everywhere in my life.

I am perhaps quite Native American in my concept of God, often thinking of God as "Great Spirit." I see Great Spirit in all of Nature. I see Great Spirit in all manner of _expression. My goal is to be of one-mind with Great Spirit, knowing wherever I Am, God is. I have also been blessed to have a Great Teacher by the name of "White Eagle," whom many of you are familiar with. White Eagle is a Master Teacher or Universal Teacher for many of us. He first appeared in my life in 1972. He prepared the way for my spiritual journey and introduced me to works of Sir Arthur Conan Doyle and his great fervor for the Spiritualist movement. White Eagle later had a great part to play in the life of Sir Arthur Conan Doyle and the importance of Mediumship. Since then I was led to Spiritualist Churches throughout Northern California to where I have been now since 1996.

I have been heading a Spiritualist Church in California Bay Area now for nearly six years. I created it, incorporated it and have run the Church since early 2001. It has been a dream come true after years of just knowing that someday I too would be able to speak and teach also provide a place where others may also come to know Great Spirit: All-Loving; Omnipotent; Omniscient; Omnipresent. It gives great comfort to know we are never alone in our life, no matter what the obstacles or hurdles we must cross, and the Cross is never too heavy to bear. Spiritualism teaches "There is no death." Our Soul continues to progress on the Spirit Planes, which some have called the "Summerlands," and the Native American refer to it as "The Happy Hunting Grounds." Then as we are ready, we return to Earth again and again for the lessons prepared for us as we work toward perfection.

ULC provided the opportunity for me to go forward in my work and to completely utilize all the aspects of the ministry which are endowed upon us as we become Ordained. I have now united people in Matrimony, and have conducted Memorials for friends. I have had countless sessions for counseling others on their journey, and have given "talks" at neighboring Churches. I have taught countless classes on Spiritual Unfoldment, Psychic Development and Mediumship. It has been a full life filled with wonderful experiences. ULC helped in this process. They provided a means for me to expand my role in service others. Thank You ULC.

The Rev. Patricia Johnston.

Online Clergy Ordination

Online Clergy OrdinationHello, all!

Upon reading the newsletter, I found the request about how my ordination came about. I wasn't hit by a lightning bolt or called through a vision, but when a chaplain friend of mine sent me a very profound email, it made think for a moment of all that I had been blessed with, without even a thought to what I could give back. I found the ULC and read the website contents several times over before deciding that by becoming ordained, perhaps I could bring comfort to families that have lost loved ones, and by bringing joy to couples that were wanting to unite and begin new families. What a legacy that would be! My ordination has inspired me with a desire to talk to others about my beliefs and to listen to theirs with respect and an open mind.

I am blessed with three grown, beautiful daughters, and my wonderful wife that makes me anxious to wake in the mornings, that I may cast my eyes on her to behold my gift from God!

I thank my God for every breath that I take...I AM TRULY BLESSED!
The following is the inspiring email information that was sent to me,

The Lifeline,

After a few of the usual Sunday evening hymns, the church's pastor slowly
stood up, walked over to the pulpit and, before he gave his sermon for the
evening, briefly introduced a guest minister who was in the service that
evening.

In the introduction, the pastor told the congregation that the guest
minister was one of his dearest childhood friends and that he wanted him to
have a few moments to greet the church and share whatever he felt would be
appropriate for the service.

With that, an elderly mans stepped up to the pulpit and began to speak.

"A father, his son, and a friend of his son were sailing off the pacific
coast" he began, "when a fast approaching storm blocked any attempt to get
back to the shore. The waves were so high, that even though the father was
an experienced sailor, he could not keep the boat upright and the three were
swept into the ocean as the boat capsized."

The old man hesitated for a moment, making eye contact with two teenagers
who were, for the first time since the service began, looking somewhat
interested in his story.

The aged minister continued with his story, "Grabbing a rescue line, the
father had to make the most excruciating decision of his life: to which boy
would he throw the other end of the life line."

"He only had seconds to make the decision. The father knew that his son was
a Christian and he, also, knew that his son's friend was not. The agony of
his decision could not be matched by the torrent of waves. As the father
yelled out, "I love you, Son!" he threw out the life line to his son's
friend. By the time the father had pulled the friend back to the capsized
boat, his son had disappeared beneath the raging swells into the black of
night. His body was never recovered."

By this time, the two teenagers were sitting up straight in the pew,
anxiously waiting for the next words to come out of the old minister's
mouth. "The father", he continued, "knew his son would step into eternity
with Jesus and he could not bear the thought of his son's friend stepping
into an eternity without Jesus. Therefore, he sacrificed his son to save
the son's friend."

"How great is the love of God that he should do the same for us. Our
Heavenly Father sacrificed his only begotten Son that we could be saved.
I urge you to accept his offer to rescue you and take a hold of the life
line he is throwing out to you in this service."

With that, the old man turned and sat back down in his chair as silence
filled the room.

The pastor again walked slowly to the pulpit and delivered a brief sermon
with an invitation at the end, however, no one responded to the appeal
Within minutes after the service ended, the two teenagers were at the old
mans' side.

"That was a nice story," politely stated one of them, "but I don't think it
was very realistic for a father to give up his only son's life in hopes that
the other boy would become a Christian."

"Well, you've got a point there," the old man replied glancing down at his
worn bible. A big smile broadened his narrow face. He once again looked up
at the boys and said, "It sure isn't very realistic, is it?
But I'm standing here today to tell you that story give me a glimpse of what
it must have been like for God to give up his Son for me. You see..."

"I was that father and your pastor is my son's friend."

"We will open the book. Its pages are blank.
We are going to put words on them ourselves.
The book is called Opportunity and its first chapter is New Year's Day."

---- Edith Lovejoy Pierce
Thank you and may god bless you and your family!

Becoming an ordained minister

Become an ordained minister
My journey started in 1982 when I was going through my first divorce and was very much down in the dumps with all that was going on in my life. I sought, and found, answers in the bible and have been a student of God’s Word ever since. In 1985 the United States Air Force sent me to Turkey and I ended up spending five years there and even married a Turk. My journey at that juncture took another turn and I felt that God was leading me to write the truth of my experiences and knowledge.

The first work was titled, God’s Forgotten Holy Land and was copyright in 1993 and I sent inquiries to literally a hundred different publishers. Receiving back about sixty five reject letters I felt the need to learn how to get into the new arena of the Internet and created my own website in 1995 and incorporated as a non-profit organization in 1998. I have continued to send inquiries to various publishers as my work has expanded and I continue to get reject letters. In many cases the letters provides enough information to indicate that I am an unknown entity with no credentials to prepare such work in the genre that I deal with. It became more of a game to try and figure out how I could get the recognition they desired that I have and I turned to the Internet. In 2000 I applied to ULC to become a minister and directly behind that I made submission for my Doctorate of Philosophy in Religion.

It now seems so long ago that all of this was done. I now look over my shoulder and wonder about society and mankind as a whole who must categorize others as being in such-and-such a state, position, station, etc. or have this title or that tile for them to know anything about a particular subject. Mankind seems so hell bent to remove God from any equation and that anything that pertains to God has to somehow be religious and wrong for the ordinary man. How foolish they really are and their foolishness will bring them to a very important question one day and I don’t think they are going to like the answer they will hear. One day these foolish people will stand before God Almighty and He will ask them if they would like to be in the smoking or non-smoking section and they will of course answer ‘non-smoking’ and God will tell them, “Sorry, but your actions do not qualify you for the non-smoking section!”

Please review my website for content. The address is http://www.VQPub.org . I said that I had just finished my last book, titled “The Hunters Are Here” and have enclosed a page from that book that you and others of the ULC Seminary may find interesting. I continue to seek a publisher who is serious about publishing my work and if you happen to know of an interested party please direct them toward my website and myself.

So, that (in a nutshell) is why I became a ULC minister.

Sincerely,

Charles E. Darnell

Online Sermons

Online Sermons
For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. (John 3:16 KJVA) John 3:16 "God so loved the world that he gave His only begotten Son." As we take a look at this, we must understand that "begotten" means "procreated or generated." Jesus was born of a woman yet, was not the seed of a man. Instead, He was the seed of God. He was "generated" by God and placed in the womb of a woman. This was a birth in the world but not of the world.

God did not love how the world had become but through benevolence He sent His Son. It was because of how we had become that this was done. He sent Jesus to us because we needed to be saved. He came to be the sacrifice for all mankind. He came not to condemn, rather to offer a way that we could be saved.

Another thing we must understand is that this is to "whosoever believeth." And what must we believe? We must believe that Jesus was the only begotten Son of God and that God sent Him to the world. Not that He sent Him to be part of the world, yet He was sent to the world. He was sent to offer salvation to all who believe in Him.

It is because of love that God sent Jesus. He sent Jesus because He desired for us to be happy even though we are sinners. God hates wickedness, yet He still has desires for all sinners. Just as we, as earthly parents, hate when our children do wrong we desire for them to be happy, productive children. We do not always approve of the conduct of our children, yet we always love them.

This is one that will hit many close to home. I am a child that most definitely fell into that category. I was out running around and doing things I should not have been doing. My parents, though they were disgusted by my conduct, never stopped loving me.

God is the same yesterday, today and tomorrow. He may not approve of the sinful conduct of our actions. But He loves us so much and so He made the ultimate sacrifice. He created a Son, placed that Son into a woman womb and had Him born of a woman. Jesus was normal in His life here on earth. He grew up the son of a carpenter and when the time was right He was led to begin His ministry, or His career if you will, here on earth.

"God sent His Son." Why did He send Him? He did not send Him to condemn the world. Instead, He sent Him to save the world.

In order to have condemnation there must be judgment. To condemn means to pronounce to be wrong. This requires us to look at judgment and get a complete understanding.

Matthew 7:1-2 Mat 7:1 Judge not, that ye be not judged. Mat 7:2 For with what judgment ye judge, ye shall be judged: and with what measure ye mete, it shall be measured to you again.

In Matthew 7:1-2 we are told that if we judge we shall be judged. It, however, takes it a step further. How we judge is how we will be judged.

God did not send Jesus to judge us and to condemn us. He had already judged and condemned us. He sent Jesus to offer salvation through the ultimate blood sacrifice. He sent Jesus to be the payment for all of our sins. He was sacrificed so we would no longer have to die. We now can have everlasting life because of the shed blood of Jesus Christ our Lord and Saviour.

We must stop judging and start offering solutions. God could have judged us and condemned us and offered no solution. Instead, He offered a solution in the way of the sacrifice of His only begotten Son. Now we must begin to do the same thing. We must begin to not just condemn, we need to offer a solution.

Suppose you are asked to sit on a jury, you listen to both sides present their case. Then you have the responsibility to render a judgment or decision. The trial doesn't end with just the condemnation part of the trial. It goes on to a sentencing phase. It is in this phase that the judge must give justice. This is where the judge must offer the solution to the judgment. The judge must look at all aspects of the case, those involved and other factors. This is supposed to be a just solution, but that in itself is another message. The judge then must, through a solution, hand out justice. The justice must be a fitting punishment for the criminal and at the same time justice for the victim. The judge will place the criminal in a prison for a period of time or maybe just place them on probation. In both cases it is supposed to serve as punishment for the crime. Then the judge may add restitution responsibility upon the criminal, to compensate the victim.

The sentence has been handed down, the criminal and the victim have been given their justice. It cannot stop there, it must continue to move to a solution phase. The judge must give justice to the victim and to the criminal by offering a solution. And, unfortunately, all too often the judicial system never makes it to the solution phase. The system doesn't offer a way to the criminal to be more than just a criminal. It, usually, only offers punishment. Again, I am trying not to get too technical because it really can be another message.

How, then, does God differ from man? God condemned us and judged us to be wicked. He then hands out just punishment and then He went on to give the solution. He gave His only Son that whosoever believed would not perish. God could have left it at condemnation and injustice. He could have only offered certain death.

"For God so loved the world He sent His Son." Whosoever believeth in Him is not necessarily condemned. What a huge statement this is for us to live by. God did not just condemn us, He offered all who would believe in Christ eternal life. He freed us from the condemnation. He gave the solution for the judgment of condemnation and gave us a new direction. He gave us the solution to the sinful life we lead. He gave us a way to be better and a way to receive eternal life. He did not make the payment hard on us. Most people look at justice as being cruel and inhumane to other human beings. They figure that justice has to be hard, mean, cruel, demoralizing, inhumane and eternal. This is because man is incapable of truly understanding the power of love. Instead they drive themselves on power of humility, of course not their humility, but rather the humility of others. Man's power trip is a death sentence waiting to be executed. Man is running down a road to certain death and condemnation and he is too ignorant to figure that out. He has not figured out that God is the almighty power, he has power over all mankind. Man think they have power and one could continue to laugh at the arrogant ignorance of them all.

Man is so wrapped up with things of the world they have no clue where they are headed. They have not realized that where they are headed they have no power, no money, no authority. They are headed to a desolate fiery tomb of destruction. Man has been given the direction and the guidance to prevail, prosper and have eternal riches beyond what one could ever imagine. Instead we want to be greedy, arrogant, ignorant, controlling, judge,,jury and executioner.

I would not want to be in those shoes. I like being the loving servant of my Lord and Saviour. I do not come to condemn, merely to show you the path to complete and total peace. I come to show you how to have an eternal life that is beyond what you could ever hold on earth. I come to show you that love is giving the ultimate sacrifice. Love is moving beyond the justice and to a solution. God is love and He showed us all how to love. It is your will, your choice what you are going to do with it. You can continue to be the hateful, greedy people of the world, or you can become the solution.

"Every one that doeth evil hates the light." In this verse it is laid out for us. It says we continue to do evil because we hate the light. Those that are evil will not come unto the light. We must stop enjoying the evil and remember that evil is only for a little while. It is because of man's ignorant, greedy ways that we are condemned. It is because we choose the evil ways of the world instead of the loving way of Christ. You can choose today an eternal richness or you can continue to be earthly rich. You can choose to believe in Christ or you can choose to believe the world. You can choose eternal life or eternal death. Which will you choose?

Pastor David Azbell

Christian Sermon
The Nature of an Absolute

I was trying to sleep at about 3:30 this morning when in my brain popped the words of the Title of this writing. After about thirty seconds I was wide awake and I knew, God wanted me to get up NOW. So I dragged my sleepy carcas to the keyboard and began to write down what you will see here.

I went back to lay down at 5:00 and after about two minutes, my brain started burning rubber again and that was the introduction to the thought. This preached powerfully. My CD recorder was not cooperating, or I would recommend listening. There was such a deep connection of the Spirit today with the message and the church as this was preached. It was truly a WORD from God for a number of people. I usually preach 25 to 35 minutes max. I preached over an hour.... and there was a long season of prayer after the preaching.

God Loves you Absolutely!

Joseph, A Man of Many Coats

It occurred to me in reference to Joseph, that he was not only the boy with the
Coat of many Colors, but he wore many different colored coats. Joseph is one of my favorite bible Characters. It is intriguing to consider that this one characters story takes up over 25% of the book of Genesis. One of his most recognized attributes is the coat of favor his father gave him as a young child, 'the coat of many colors'.

This coat that was given him as a gift of favor, was used to confuse and deceive the giver of the Gift. When they had sold Joseph into slavery, they tore this coat of favor, and dipped in blood to lead their father to a false conclusion that lead him to literally despair of life.

It is important to understand that our 'Coat' plays a role in the circumstances of our life. The coats our parents and friends place on us and the coats they rip from us form the circumstances of our lives.

I believe we all can relate with this aspect of Joseph. For good or ill, we have been given coats to wear, coats taken from us, torn and desecrated and used to tell others that the worst has happened in our lives.

These circumstances we have very little to do with. Joseph did not make his own coat of many colors, but it was given to him. His father saw a divine spark, and he recognized that spark by giving him a special 'coat'.

Joseph in turn did not tear up his own coat, but someone he trusted took his coat, tore his coat and defamed his coat and used it to tell a lie on him. Now, I know from ministering in the Jails, you never meet a guilty man.

I am not speaking to this generation that refuses to accept responsibility for their own actions, I am talking about those that are literally hated, abused and lied on by those that are of a jealous and evil heart. It is hard to imagine people being this mean until you have felt the teeth marks of their evil mouths bear down on your good name.

Joseph was sold into slavery, wrapped in the coat of betrayal was sold into a wealthy mans home. And through the Favor that God clothed him with, everything he did was good and very blessed. But something happened; again the evil hands of humanity touch him again.

Joseph left his 'coat' in the house with an evil woman. I am not sure the circumstances, but the scripture only says that he 'Left his garment in her hand.' Joseph was a man of integrity, without a doubt. However the one thing I would say in caution that we can learn from his circumstance.

First thing, don't go in an empty house with a hungry woman. There have been a number of men I am sure that in this circumstance have not passed this test. One way to be sure this test never comes your way is don't put yourself in this circumstance.

Secondly, don't let this person touch your garment. Don't let them wrap their hands around your garment. Because even in doing right by fleeing from the enticements of this woman, he left his garment in her hands. And again, his coat is used as false evidence against him.

The enemy will do everything in his power to take your coat. When you're around the enemy, don't take your coat off and do everything in your power to keep the enemies hands off your coat.

However, no matter your effort there will be times that the enemy gets your coat. He will take it from you. He will rip it from your grasps and in doing so rip the character of the coat. He will defame you and desecrate it all in attempt to destroy you.

But Jacob knew something that we all need to learn.

'You might do that to my Coat, but you can't do that to me!'

Jacob and his essence were never marred in the hands of evil and hateful people. He never lost his dream. He never lost his integrity and in the end we see he never lost his optimism and faith in the goodness of humanity. Even his brothers, he was able to look at them and see that even if they were haters, God used their evil deed to bring blessing and purpose into his life.

Don't let the Haters, inconsiderate, selfish and evil hearted among us do to you what they do to your coat. If you will be true, those that should love you will stand on the sideline when apparent strangers put on you a manifestation of your true character.

One day, the Naysayers were silenced and the Pharaoh recognized Joseph for who he was and took the ring off his own finger. Think of this, The KING put his Ring on Josephs finger. Put a gold encrusted chain around his neck and watch this arrayed him in 'vestures' of fine linen.

In the end, after a man who wore many coats, finally stands before the people in a Royal White Robe with the Kings Ring on his Finger and he is proclaimed tobe a Man with the power to reveal secrets. When all his life, he had been lied, he was an enigma wrapped as it were a secret in a cloth. He who was a secret was able to reveal secrets. No one knew who he was. His Dad had an idea, but no one else ever really grasped until that moment who he was. Joseph was God's answer to the worlds troubles. Troubled families, troubled finances, troubled prisons, trouble on the horizon all were dealt with by a man named Joseph.

Joseph was a man that wore many coats. However the lesson was and is, Joseph was bigger than all of his coats. Joseph was greater than all his coats. Coats get dirty, get old, get lost and get discarded. But who you are, now that is better than any coat.

Jesus is my Coat. Wrapped in his Righteousness. Wearing the robes of his Priesthood and draped with the royal robes of his Kingly Authority.

Check out my Coat, It's not Tommy Hilfiger, but Jesus Christ!

In Him, By Him, Through Him,

Scott Phillips
